"Why? Why didn't you tell Haru?" she calmly ask Gokudera.
"You're in no position to know it, woman," Gokudera calmly said back, but actually, it's getting on his nerves.
"What position do I need to have just to know Yamamoto-san is injured so badly?" she let a tear fall.
They are in the hospital room where Yamamoto is confined on. Haru knows about the Inheritance ceremony and she's a little sad they didn't told her - and Kyoko - but what hurts is that they don't even told them about the condition Yamamoto is in. She noticed about the odd behavior of Yamamoto and Chrome's always with them (not that she's against it) just days ago. So she privately ask Tsuna what happened to him because Kyoko doesn't know it yet.
--
"Hahi! Y-Yamamoto-san! Can you hear me? Yamamoto-san!" Haru panicked. Yamamoto groaned and slightly moved his finger.
"G-good morning, Haru," he opens his eyes and smiled weakly at her.
"Ha-hahi~" Haru sigh in relief and wipe away the tears forming on her eyes.
Yamamoto always wanted to look at her like this.
"Ma, ma. Don't cry. I'm fine," he smiled.
"Tsuna-san, what happen to Yamamoto-san?" she ask when they are alone in the room. Gokudera is waiting behind the door, prepared to aid his boss when the woman attacked (hugged) him.
"Eh? A-ah, Yamamoto is just fine," she can see bullets of sweat on his neck.
"Tsuna-san is lying. Tell Haru the truth, Tsuna-san. What happened?"
"A-anou.." he sighed, "H-He's not the real Yamamoto," Tsuna told the truth to Haru. It feels bad to keep secrets to them now.
"W-what do you mean?"
"The Yamamoto now is Chrome's illusion. He's in he h-hospital. he's a-attacked," he paused, "I'm sorry for not telling you this, Haru. But can you not tell Kyoko-chan yet? She'll-"
"Yes, Haru won't tell Kyoko-chan. It's for the best. Thanks for telling Haru about it, Tsuna-san,"
--
"Look, Tenth just don't want you to-"
"What position do I need to have just to know Yamamoto-san is injured so badly?" she repeated the question.
"Damn it," he whispered.
Yamamoto's finger moved, unknown to them.
"Am I not a part of the family?"
"O-oi! I didn't-" he panicked, it's unexpected to she her cry nor asked that question.
"Haru understands that Tsuna-san doesn't want me to worry, but Haru is Yamamoto-san's friend," she brushed her tears and left.
Yamamoto groaned. That caught Gokudera's attention.
"Baseball freak!" he called.
"D-don't call everybody yet, G-Gokudera,"
"W-wait, don't talk yet. I-I'll just call Tenth," his sleeves are caught by Yamamoto.
"D-don't. I need to talk to you," he said.
"What?"
"I-I've been awake just now-"
"How long?! Damn it! Why didn't you tell me?!"
"Y-you made Haru cry," he looked at him.
"W-wha? What is this, baseball freak?"
"Whenever's Haru's here, I'm always awake. From the first time she visited," he confessed.
"And you didn't tell us? Damn it! Tenth is really worried you know?!"
"She always talk and talk, telling me what happened that day, asking me when will I wake up, talking to me... Yet, not on those times she did cry," he looked at him again, as if accusing him, "This is the first time I heard her cry again,"
"So what?"
"I'm telling you to treat women well, Gokudera. Specially Haru,"
"Che,"
"Don't tell anyone yet. I wanna Haru to be the first to see me wake up,"
"I just did,"
"You didn't count. And say sorry to her," he yawned, "Gonna sleep now, 'night," and he closed his eyes.
